Newcastle want to sign free agent Spanish midfielder
Newcastle United are looking to make a move for Spanish youngster Alejandro Viedma as they look to boost their squad this summer, according to reports.
Viedma’s deal comes to an end in June which would make him open to a move for free and a number of other clubs are expected to make a move for the player.
The player came through the ranks at Barcelona and has been playing for Sevilla’s reserve side this season.
The fact that the club are pushing for free deals indicates that there isn’t going to be a huge amount of funds made available to Benitez this summer.
Viedma is a 19-year-old central midfield player and whilst he wouldn’t be expected to come in and push for a starting role straight away, he could be a player for the future.
