Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles has ruled out the chances of a him moving away from St James’ Park in this transfer window, despite apparent interest from elsewhere, according to the Northern Echo.
The centre-back has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks, after a season which has seen him named as one of the ‘most consistent’ defenders in the league.

The former Forest man just missed out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad but has no desire to leave the North East club for better things any time soon.
The Magpies skipper said:
I’m very happy here. You hear things, you hear rumours and stuff, but I’m a young player and I need to be playing football at a good club – and that’s what this is.
The 24-year-old has been linked with both Liverpool and Chelsea but Rafa Benitez has a great relationship with the Englishman and will likely be desperate for him to stay.
