Newcastle United are reportedly keen to sign Chilean international Nicolas Castillo this summer.
According to claims from Goal Portugal, the 25-year-old is on the radars of several European clubs as he continues to impress for Pumas in the Mexican top-flight.
Newcastle’s desire to sign a new striker ahead of next season has been well-documented and it appears as though Castillo is an option that they are looking to explore this summer.
Castillo is a key player for Pumas and leads the line for them on a regular basis, meaning that the Liga MX side will undoubtedly be keen to retain his services for the foreseeable future.
However, Newcastle are not the only side to have expressed an interest in signing to Chilean attacker, if reports in Portugal are to be believed.
Benfica are understood to be in advanced negotiations over a move for the player, with Serie A duo Sampdoria and Bologna also named as potential destinations.
