Swansea star keen to leave as Newcastle plan summer swoop
Lukasz Fabianski reportedly wants to leave Swansea City this summer, with Newcastle United among the clubs keen to land him.
The Polish international is looking to leave the Liberty Stadium following the club’s relegation down to the Championship and according to the Guardian, the Magpies are keen.
Fabianski has been a consistent performer for Swansea over the course of several seasons and it seems he is determined to remain in the top-flight of English football.
Newcastle’s goalkeeping situation is currently an intriguing one, with the club apparently keen to make Martin Dubravka’s loan deal at St James’ Park permanent in the near future.
However, it seems the Magpies are exploring other alternatives ahead of the summer transfer window, with Fabianski the latest shot-stopper to be named as a potential signing.
Fabianski is clearly intent on staying in the Premier League this summer and Newcastle are said to be joined in their interest by Crystal Palace, who have also encountered their fair share of goalkeeping issues.
