Newcastle’s new signings ratings: 2017/18 season

Rafa Benitez’s ability to keep Newcastle United in the Premier League came in no small part to his transfer business.

The Spaniard had made it well known that he was working on a small budget and had to manoeuvre wisely in the market.

With a squad that was being tipped for an immediate return to the Championship, Benitez worked his magic and guided the Magpies to a top-half finish.

Newcastle wrapped up the season with an impressive 3-0 home victory over a dejected Chelsea side on Sunday afternoon.

With the campaign done and dusted, we’ve handed out some player ratings to those signings who joined the club in the summer and in the January window.
