Newcastle predicted XI: Chelsea (A)

Newcastle host Chelsea at St James’ for the final game of the season, where they will be looking to end on a win.

Rafa Benitez’ men will be looking to finish on a high after four straight defeats and secure their place in the top half.

The Magpies have had a successful first season back in the top flight and the Geordies will be pleased with a top half finish.

The Blues make the journey to the North East knowing they have to win if they’re going to qualify for the Champions League.

Antonio Conte’s side are currently two points behind Liverpool with one game remaining, after a disappointing draw against Huddersfield on Wednesday night.

Chelsea may be without first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois after picking up a knock at Stamford Bridge last time out.

Newcastle will certainly be without Islam Slimani who is suspended until the end of the season, whilst Kenedy is ineligible against his parent club.

We’ve taken a look at how we think the Magpies will line-up at St James’ Park on Sunday afternoon…

matchday.
