Newcastle United are interested in signing defender Craig Dawson and striker Fernando Torres as they look to build their squad ahead of next season, according to Chronicle Live.
West Brom have been relegated to the Championship which has opened the door for Newcastle to make a move for Dawson, but it’s thought it will take £15 million to land the player.
Although his side have largely struggled this season, Dawson has impressed, making 31 appearances scoring two goals in that time.
Dawson has two years left to run on his current deal and doesn’t have a release clause in his deal, which means that it may prove tough to get this one over the line.
There could also be a move for Spanish striker Fernando Torres with current boss Rafa Benitez open to a move with his former player.

Newcastle have confirmed their Premier League status for next season and it’s thought the player is keen on a move back to the Premier League.
