Newcastle predicted XI: Watford (A)
Newcastle United travel to Watford this weekend looking to end a run of two straight defeats.
Since the Toon secured their Premier League status, they have suffered a mini drop in form, losing 1-0 to Everton before another 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion last time out.
Matt Phillips’ goal was enough to secure the three points for the Baggies, in a surprisingly flat Newcastle performance.
They will be keen to end the season on a high, and that includes securing the future of manager Rafael Benitez, who only has a year remaining on his contract and is believed to want the promise of funds to spend.
As for their opponents, Watford are on a winless run of their own that stretches seven matches.
Last time out they lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur, with England internationals Dele Alli and Harry Kane both finding the back of the net.
The results drags them back in to danger, with 18th placed Southampton only six points further back with a game in hand on the Hornets.
Watford were victorious when the sides met earlier this season, with goals from Will Hughes, Andre Gray and a DeAndre Yedlin own goal giving them the points.
Here’s how we think Newcastle will line up this weekend…
