# Two clubs interested in Benitez with Newcastle future up in the air

Rafa Benitez has been linked with both Leicester City and Napoli with his future at Newcastle remaining unclear.

The [Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/699221/Leicester-exclusive-news-Foxes-Newcastle-boss-Rafa-Benitez-Claude-Puel) claim Leicester are interested in hiring the Spaniard as a possible replacement for Claude Puel.

The Foxes are said to be considering Puel’s future at the King Power, despite a relatively successful season.

Benitez is thought to be high on their list of potential successors with Newcastle’s ownership problems still causing unrest within the management staff.

Napoli are also thought to be interested in re-hiring Benitez this summer, according to Tuttosport, as cited by [Calcio Mercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/report-napoli-could-bring-rafa-benitez-back-23530).

The Italian outfit are likely to lose Maurizio Sarri, who has been linked to Arsenal and Chelsea at the end of the season.

The Spaniard spent two years at Napoli after leaving Chelsea in 2013. During his time at the club, he managed to win Coppa Italia but struggled to guide the club into the Champions League.
