# Newcastle loan star wants permanent deal at St James’ Park

Newcastle stopper Martin Dubravka wants a permanent move to the North East in the Summer, according to the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5583883/Martin-Dubravka-insists-wants-join-Newcastle-permanent-deal-Sparta-Prague.html).

Dubravka joined Newcastle on loan from Sparta Prague on deadline day in January. He has made four appearances since then, and is yet to concede a goal since coming into the side.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the Newcastle keeper expressed his desire to stay at St James Park next season.

The Slovakian said:

> I want to stay here after the summer, but I need to be focused until the last game. I don’t like to say we have one or two more games to stay in the league and be safe, you can’t think like this.

> Everybody knows that we are not in the best situation and need to fight for it. I came here to help the guys. They are helping me and I’ve enjoyed every game we’ve played.

> I knew when I came here that we were not in the best situation, but Newcastle is a huge club with a great history and deserves to stay in the league.

A deal is thought to be in place where Newcastle will be able to sign Dubravka for £4 million. However, Udinese are one of a number of clubs looking at signing the Slovakian.
