It’s been a season full of ups and downs for Newcastle, but they’ve hit form at just the right time.
The Magpies are playing well at the moment and are working together as a collective unit, from the fans down to the players. Rafa Benitez has led his side away from the relegation zone and Newcastle are now placed in 12th.
Benitez’s side are now seven points adrift of the bottom three and it seems they are well placed now to avoid relegation. Anything is possible in the Premier League, but planning for next season in the top flight is probably underway at St James’ Park.
Newcastle will, of course, need to strengthen their side further in the summer in order to keep cementing their place back in the Premier League and in doing so, they could take advantage of the weaker teams in the division.
A number of sides are still threatened by relegation and Newcastle should absolutely be looking at poaching players from these teams.
So, take a look at some players who would be good fits at St James’ Park if their respective teams do indeed succumb to relegation this season!
