Newcastle will continue to keep tabs on Garry Rodrigues as he gears up to feature for Galatasaray in their Super Lig clash with Fenerbahce at the weekend.
According to a report from Aksam, a Turkish news outlet, the Magpies will send out a representative to monitor Rodrigues as they continue to contemplate a summer move for the winger.
Rodrigues has been in impressive form for Galatasaray this season and has attracted the interest of several clubs across Europe. Newcastle made a move for him in January, according to reports, but saw their efforts rebuffed as Galatasaray looked to retain the services of their key man.
However, this has not deterred Newcastle and they remain keen to land the Cape Verde international.
What may deter the Magpies, though, is Galatasaray’s valuation of the player. The club’s president Mustafa Cengiz revealed that only an offer worth in the region of €30m would convince him to sell Rodrigues.
