Newcastle set to revive interest in international striker

Newcastle United are set to renew their interest in Viktoria Plzen striker Michael Krmencik when the window re opens in June according to reports.

The North-East club have been tracking the player for some time and are keen to make a move for him in the summer as he has been described as a ‘left-field’ target.

They tracked the player in the Europa League last week as his side drew 1-1 with Partitizan Belgrade, a game in which he claimed an assist during an impressive performance.

This was his first action since before Christmas as the Czech league took a winter break, before which he had shown some good early form in the season, netting 11 goals in 14 games as his side went on a 17 match unbeaten run.
