Newcastle United are said to be keen on a move for Bologna striker Mattia Destro this summer.
According to a report from Italian news outlet TMW, the Magpies want to recruit the Italian international as they aim to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season.
The report from TMW is a detailed one and it claims that an offer worth €10m will be lodged for Destro when the summer comes around. This bid will also be accompanied by the promise of €2m in performance-based add-ons if the report is to be believed.
Destro was once tipped as the next big Italian striker, however, he has since flattered to deceive and is yet to live up to the once-high expectations.
The 26-year-old is a key player for Bologna now, though, and despite their shortcomings in front of goal, Destro has still contributed with five strikes this season.
Watford are also claimed to be interested in the former AC Milan striker.
