Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Hertha Berlin striker Davie Selke this month.
According to a report from German news outlet Sport Bild, the Magpies are among the clubs taking a keen interest in the towering forward, who has been playing well for Hertha since his move from RB Leipzig.
Newcastle are on the lookout for a striker in the closing stages of the transfer window and Selke has seemingly emerged as an option for Rafa Benitez.

The 23-year-old is in a good patch of form and has netted on nine occasions this season from only 16 outings. Newcastle have been poor in front of goal so far in the 2017/18 campaign, and will undoubtedly have been impressed by Selke’s goalscoring streak.
Newcastle reportedly had representatives in the stands as Hertha held Borussia Dortmund to a 1-1 draw on Friday night, in which Selke netted his side’s only goal of the match.
Stoke are also claimed by Sport Bild to have sent out scouts to keep tabs on Selke.
