Despite talk of a takeover rumbling on in the background, Newcastle United have business to attend to in the Premier League.
Rafa Benitez’s men welcome Swansea City to St James Park in a crucial game for their relegation hopes.
Swansea, who have recently appointed Carlos Carvalhal, sit bottom of the Premier League, searching for wins to pull them out of the drop zone.
A win for Newcastle could put them into the top half of the table, depending on other results.
Here is how we think Benitez will line his team up on Saturday.
GK - Karl Darlow
Rob Elliot was passed fit for the game but may not be risked, so Darlow returns in between the sticks.
RB - DeAndre Yedlin
The young American starts at right-back for Benitez.
CB - Jamal Lascelles
United will be able to welcome back club captain Jamal Lascelles from injury, something that will be a huge boost for Benitez.
CB - Ciaran Clark
Injuries mean that Clark is likely to partner Lascelles at the back.
LB - Paul Dummett
Injuries have left Newcastle’s squad a little threadbare at the back, Dummett is Benitez’s best option out on the left.
RM - Matt Ritchie
He has been United’s driving force this season.
CM - Isaac Hayden
Provides the energy and physicality to the Newcastle’s midfield.
CM - Mikel Merino
Merino has an eye for a pass that not many of his teammates would be able to spot.
LM - Christian Atsu
Benitez will be delighted to have Atsu back in the squad. Provides some much-needed pace going forward.
CAM - Ayoze Perez
Benitez will be hoping that his goals against Luton lift his confidence in the Premier League.
ST - Dwight Gayle
With just three goals all season in the Premier League the meeting against Swansea would be the perfect opportunity for him to get his name on the scoresheet.
