Chelsea are yet to give Newcastle the green light to complete a deal to sign Kenedy on loan until the end of the season, according to the Chronicle.
The Magpies have been keen to bring the Brazilian youngster in since the summer and it seems they are nearing a half-season loan deal at the moment.
However, it seems Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to bide his time with regards to Kenedy’s future and will hold off on sanctioning the loan until he has recruited another new signing.
Newcastle were reportedly set to complete the deal for Kenedy this week but it seems they will be forced to wait a short while longer before they complete their first signing of the January transfer window.
The Magpies are in need of added reinforcements this month and Rafa Benitez is understandably keen to recruit some fresh faces. It seems Kenedy could be the first man through the door, but Newcastle are being forced to wait.
