Aleksandar Mitrovic confirmed his desire to leave Newcastle United in recent times and it seems he is wasting no time in discussing potential moves elsewhere.
According to a report from RMC Sport, the Serbian international is considering a move to France. Mitrovic is stated to be in negotiations with Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux, with the club currently struggling for form in the French top tier.
It’s claimed by RMC that Bordeaux are staging talks with Mitrovic and his representatives, with a move away on the agenda this month.
The report indicates that wages could prove to be a difficult point in talks between the player and Bordeaux, with Mitrovic understood to be on wages in the region of £60,000.
Newcastle are chasing other striking targets in the mid-season transfer window and there is clearly an intention to offload Mitrovic, with the player also looking to seek pastures new away from St James’ Park.
It seems a move to Bordeaux is plausible for Mitrovic, who will look to revitalise himself in the remainder of the campaign.
