Newcastle United are in pole position to sign Chelsea left-back Kenedy on loan until the end of the season after the Blues gave the Magpies first choice on the youngster, according to a report on the Evening Standard.
Kenedy will be allowed to join Newcastle until the end of the season if Chelsea can manage to sign a left-back in the January transfer window.

If the Blues fail to find an adequate replacement then Kenedy will not be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge as he will be required to cover for Marcos Alonso.
Rafa Benitez is keen to add new players to his squad in January to help his side to avoid relegation this season.
The Toon started the season well but have fallen down the table rapidly and there are now genuine concerns about the relegation.
Kenedy will add pace and quality to the Newcastle side and will be up and down the left flank, delivering quality balls into the box at pace.
The youngster started for Chelsea in the Carabao Cup quarter-final victory over Bournemouth and put in an impressive performance, helping to set up the first goal.
Newcastle are currently in the bottom three but are only one point away from safety. They face West Ham United on Saturday at the London Stadium.
