Newcastle Predicted XI: Arsenal (A)

Newcastle are in the midst of a real slump and are in desperate need of a pick-me-up.

Rafa Benitez’s side are now eight games without a win, losing seven of them and failed to keep a clean sheet in the process, a run of form that has seen them fall to 16th in the Premier League table.

Things don’t get any easier for Benitez and co. as they travel to North London this weekend to take on an Arsenal side who will be eager to find their first win in three games also.

The Gunners have been formidable at home despite losing to Manchester United last time out at the Emirates Stadium, and Newcastle will need to find a renewed sense of resilience if they are to salvage anything from this game.

Benitez will be without Jonjo Shelvey who was sent off in the defeat to Everton, and with that in mind here is our predicted XI.

matchday.
