Newcastle said to be ‘hooked’ on Galatasaray man
Newcastle United’s interest in Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye has been well documented in recent weeks.
The Magpies are reportedly still keen to land the Senegal international, who was on many Premier League clubs’ radars during his time at Osmanlispor last season.
Ndiaye has since gone from strength to strength at Galatasaray, and according to Turkish news outlet Sporx, Newcastle are “hooked” by the midfielder, and are determined to lure him to St James’ Park.
Rafa Benitez is keen to recruit new talent in the January transfer window, but it’s thought that attacking talent is higher up on his agenda than central midfielders are.
However, with Amanda Staveley’s takeover of the club appearing to be advancing well, Benitez could have additional funds at his disposal when the new year comes around.
Galatasaray would reportedly consider offers between €15-20 million but would prefer to keep hold of their midfielder.
Leicester City are also said to be keen to land Ndiaye.
