Newcastle United reportedly sent scouts out to Belgium in order to keep tabs on KV Mechelen man Hassane Bande.
According to a report from Belgian news outlet HLN, the Magpies were amongst several top European clubs in attendance, but had their eyes closely fixed on Bande’s performance.
The youngster failed to disappoint, too. He netted in his side’s 2-0 win over KV Kortrijk at the weekend, as Mechelen picked up three points in the Juliper Pro League.

The 19-year-old, who predominantly operates on the wing, has been in excellent form for his side so far this season, and has cemented his place in the starting line-up.
Bande has scored a total of nine goals in all competitions already during the 2017/18 campaign, with six of those coming in his most recent seven Pro League outings.
Villarreal, Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, Valencia and PSV Eindhoven were also reportedly looking at Bande.
