Newcastle United have reportedly been running the rule over Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye.
West Ham particularly were one of many clubs keeping an eye on the powerful midfielder, who had been in impressive form for Osmanlispor last season.
However, Turkish giants Galatasaray beat off several Premier League clubs and secured the services of the midfielder for a fee reported to be in the region of €7.5 million.
Despite this though, it’s claimed that Newcastle are keeping track of his progress.

According to a report from Sporx, a news outlet in Turkey, the Magpies had representatives watching Ndiaye in action recently.
Galatasaray were not in the best form, though, and were dealt with their first league defeat of the 2017/18 campaign so far. Trabzonspor ran out as 2-1 victors on the day, and Ndiaye flattered to deceive.
The Senegalese midfielder was sent off late in the match as tempers flared, perhaps indicating that he will need to become more disciplined if he is to progress.
Rafa Benitez wants reinforcements in January, and it looks as though Ndiaye is one player on his mind.
