Newcastle United are reportedly interested in making a big move to sign Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun in January.
The Magpies’ interest in the Turkey international has been widely documented in recent months, with reports claiming that they have scouted him on a number of occasions.
It looks as though Newcastle’s chiefs have been impressed with what they have seen, too, and are plotting a bid in the mid-season transfer window.

According to a report from CNN Turk, Rafa Benitez’s side are ready to make an £18 million bid for Tosun, which would be a club-record transfer for the Magpies.
Tosun has led the line extremely well for Besiktas so far this season, and has caught the eye of many with some impressive performances up top.
He has played a part in his side’s surprising Champions League form, and has been scoring regularly in his homeland.
Newcastle are keen to add to their squad in January, and if reports from Turkey are to be believed, it looks as though Tosun is a genuine target for the club.
