Newcastle United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Villarreal winger Alfonso Pedraza, who is currently on loan to Deportivo Alaves.
According to the IB Times UK, Newcastle have been sending scouts out to Spain in order to take a closer look at Pedraza, with the youngster catching the eye of several across Europe.
The tricky wide man gained experience on loan at Leeds United in the Championship last season, following a January move away from his homeland.

It’s claimed in the report that Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez regards his compatriot Pedraza as a player with a big future in the game, and is keen to lure him back over to England.
Although Pedraza put pen to paper on a new four-year contract before the season started with Villarreal, potential suitors such as Newcastle don’t appear to be put off, and could make a move in January.
Southampton are also being linked with a move for the Spain Under-21 international.
