Newcastle United have turned their form around after a poor start to life back in the Premier League and go into this weekend in fourth place in the table, ahead of the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Their opponents, Brighton and Hove Albion, are a team they know well, having tussled with them throughout last season for the Championship title.
Brighton are much further down the table than Newcastle are this season though, sitting in 16th place with four points from three games, level with West Ham United and Leicester City.
The journey to the south coast from St James Park is a long one, so Rafa Benitez and his men will want to ensure that it is worthwhile by picking up three points to further bolster their position in the top half of the table.
