Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.
According to the Telegraph, the Magpies remain keen to land a new shot stopper before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow night, and are pondering a swoop for the PSG man.
Rafa Benitez has been on the lookout for new goalkeepers throughout the course of the summer, with a host of options having already been weighed up.
However, the next man on the list appears to be Trapp, who is currently plying his trade out in Ligue 1 with Unai Emery’s PSG side.
While it’s stated that Newcastle have cooled their interested in the experienced goalkeeper, they will surely watch the situation regarding Pepe Reina closely, given that PSG are growing increasingly keen to upgrade Trapp with the Spaniard.
Rob Elliot has been the man between the sticks for Newcastle, and it looks as though Benitez wants to add more quality to his defensive structure before the end of the summer.
