Mashiter says that Norwich have agreed a deal to sign the Scottish international, with other reports claiming he is currently undergoing a medical at Colney at the time of publishing.
According to Football Insider, Hanley is completing his medical before being officially unveiled as Norwich’s 11th summer signing.
It is said that Fulham came close to signing Hanley before his move to Newcastle and were in for round two but Norwich appear to have won the race.
Newcastle have told Hanley he is free to leave, as he is not part of their plans for the Premier League season.
It was reported that Newcastle want to have a transfer completed in the next 24 hours, with it looking like it could be announced today.
With just over two days left in the transfer window, Newcastle are looking to ship players out before they can bring in their own reinforcements.
