# Newcastle interested in Netherlands international goalkeeper

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Jeroen Zoet from PSV Eindhoven.

Rafa Benitez has been searching far and wide for a new goalkeeper this summer, and it looks as though he’s turned his attention towards a move for the Netherlands international.

Zoet has been subject to plenty of interest throughout the ongoing summer transfer window. Benfica have been linked with a move for him, while Frank de Boer’s Crystal Palace side have also been expressing an interest in signing the ‘keeper.

Now though, according to a report from Fox Sports, as cited by [Football Oranje](https://www.football-oranje.com/newcastle-united-want-psv-stopper-jeroen-zoet/), Newcastle are the latest side to cast a keen eye over the shot stopper.

It’s claimed that the Magpies would be prepared to part company with Tim Krul in the deal to land his compatriot Zoet, too.

Rob Elliot has been the man chosen between the sticks in Newcastle’s opening few games in the Premier League, but it looks as though Zoet is a target for Benitez in the final week of the window.
