Newcastle player ratings: West Ham (H)

Newcastle secured their first win of the Premier League season as they beat West Ham 3-0 at St. James Park.

Goals from Joselu, Ciaran Clark and Mitrovic secured the three points, with Rafa Benitez picking up his first points of the season.

The Toon had lost both of their opening league fixtures without scoring a goal, but were able to comprehensively beat West Ham on Saturday.

Joselu opened the scoring in the 36th minute as he finished from close range after Atsu got away down the wing.

Clark doubled the lead in the 72nd minute. Matt Ritchie whipped a superb ball into the box and the Irish defender thumped a header in.

Mitrovic then came off the bench to round off the scoring in the 86th minute. He went one-on-one with Joe Hart and took the ball around him before finishing calmly.
