Newcastle have reportedly bid for Belgian and Sampdoria midfielder, Dennis Praet, according to Il Secolo XIX.
The Italian outlet report that the Sampdoria midfielder, who has one Belgian cap to his name, is valued at around £13 million.
Newcastle are desperate to add to their squad to bolster their ranks ahead of what looks to be a difficult Premier League campaign ahead.
Both Henri Saviet and Jack Colback are likely to leave the club before the end of the transfer window, with either of the pair likely to free up room for Praet’s potential arrival.

Now at the age of 23, Praet was once talked about as one of the hottest young prospects in European football.
After making over 100 appearances for Anderlecht, Praet moved to Sampdoria in August 2016 and still has four years remaining on his current deal with the Serie A club.
Praet scored just one league goal in 32 Serie A appearances last season but would arrive with a host of experience, including in the Champions League, despite his tender age.
