Interest in the youngster, who is under contract until 2020 at St James Park, is not short with a host of Football League clubs lining up to take the player on loan.

The player himself has asked to leave the Magpies on loan as he seeks first-team football this season.

Newcastle currently have three senior goalkeepers on their books in the form of Karl Darlow, Rob Elliot and Tim Krul. The latter is being heavily linked with a move away from the club, while Darlow is also being linked with a move elsewhere.
