Newcastle set to miss out on Navas
Former Manchester City winger and Newcastle United target Jesus Navas is set for talks with former club Sevilla, according to Marce, as reported by StalkSPORT.
The Spaniard is looking for a new club after being released from the Etihad at the end of last season, and it has been reported that newly promoted Newcastle want to keep him in the Premier League by offering him a deal to bring him to St James Park.
However, according to Spanish newspaper Marca, his former club Sevilla are willing to offer him a contract to bring him back to Spain, with the wingers’ representatives set to speak to the La Liga side today.
Navas, 31, spent three years in England but hasn’t done enough to earn himself a new deal in Manchester. The wide man is currently sixth on the list in all-time appearances for Sevilla and is thought to be open to a return to his former club, only if the terms are right.
