Newcastle have had a £8m offer for winger Jacob Murphy rejected by Norwich, according to Mail journalist Craig Hope. (See below)

Reports emerged on Sunday night claiming that Newcastle were closing in on a deal to sign Murphy, which is now thought to be very wide of the mark.
Hope claims that Newcastle did, indeed, table £8m for winger but Norwich rejected the offer.

Norwich are unwilling to sell Murphy this summer, who is one of their top players.
Murphy has four years left on his contract after signing a new long-term deal last season.
The England under-21 international is due to return to training with Norwich next week but was in attendance at Lowestoft to watch his side win 5-1 on Saturday.
Premier League clubs Southampton, Crystal Palace and Swansea were all also said to be keen.
