Newcastle United are looking set to accelerate their summer dealings, with a move for Jacob Murphy appearing to be close.
According to a report from the Mirror this evening, the Magpies are primed to fend off competition from fellow Premier League clubs such as Southampton and Crystal Palace to secure the Norwich winger.
It’s claimed that the deal could be worth around £8m, with the England Under-21 international impressing in recent times.

He put in a good account of himself during the U21 European Championships in Poland recently and his stock has almost certainly increased.
The 22-year-old was a key man for Norwich last season and while the Canaries are sure to be keen to keep hold of him this summer, a move to the Premier League could be tempting.
Newcastle will be keen to add to their squad upon their return to the top flight, and a player like Murphy would add quality to their attacking ranks.
