The defender has been linked with a move to the Magpies for some time now and it looks as though significant progress has been reached in regards to a deal.

Lejeune was a key player for Eibar last season and caught the eye of many with his impressive performances, earning him plenty of plaudits.

Interest in the defender was inevitable this summer, and it looks as though he’s poised to secure his big move away to the Premier League, with Newcastle the clear destination.
