Newcastle appear to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer, and reports have suggested that they are targeting a move for Joe Hart.
The Manchester City goalkeeper is eyeing up a permanent move away from the club this summer and according to the Daily Mail, Newcastle have made an enquiry.
Hart spent the duration of last season out on loan with Serie A side Torino, where he failed to convince.
It’s safe to say that the England international’s stock has decreased in the last year, but he is undoubtedly a highly experienced goalkeeper with a lot to offer in the Premier League.
Newcastle are currently set to head into the upcoming season with Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot as their two goalkeeping options and, understandably, Rafa Benitez is keen to add more quality to the ranks.
City are likely to be willing to allow Hart a move away from the club this summer off the back of their acquisition of Ederson.
