Speculation has been mounting in the last few weeks surrounding Rafa Benitez’s future at Newcastle, with reports suggesting he could leave the club.
Claims had been made that due to missing out on transfer targets to other clubs, such as Ruben Semedo and potentially Tammy Abraham, Benitez had grown frustrated at St James’ Park and was seriously considering an exit.
However, according to Lee Ryder of the Newcastle Chronicle, the Spaniard is absolutely focused on preparing the Magpies for the upcoming season.

A big campaign awaits for Newcastle as they look to consolidate their place among the country’s top teams again.
Benitez will now hope to tie up some more incoming transfers when the transfer window officially opens, with the squad at his disposal undoubtedly in need of some fine tuning.
