# Newcastle plotting move for Rennes forward

Newcastle are reportedly planning a move to sign Adama Diakhaby.

According to a report from the printed version of tomorrow’s L’Equipe, as covered by GFFN, the Magpies are ready to move in for the Rennes attacker.

It’s been clear to see that Rafa Benitez is targeting a new striker for his side ahead of their return to the Premier League and after seemingly missing out on Tammy Abraham, Diakhaby appears to be the next man on his radar.

Newcastle have been linked with several players from out in Ligue 1 so far this summer, and the Rennes forward is the latest name to be touted with a switch to Newcastle.

The striker’s performances for the French side earned him several plaudits last season and it comes as no surprise to see him linked with a move to the Premier League.
