# Newcastle enquire for Chelsea and West Ham target

Newcastle United have reportedly expressed their interest to sign Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore this summer.

According to a report from the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4628928/Liverpool-keen-Napoli-s-Faouzi-Ghoulam.html) today, the Magpies have joined West Ham in the hunt to land the Spaniard, with a return to the Premier League looking to be most likely in the coming months.

Traore demonstrated glimpses of quality during his maiden season with Boro but appeared to lack end product. However, he has undoubted potential and this has inevitably led teams such as West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea to show interest.

The Magpies have been linked with a plethora of Premier League tried and tested players since their promotion was sealed, and it’d come as no surprise to see Rafa Benitez opt to move for a player like Traore.

West Ham are stated to be the front-runners in the race to sign the former Barcelona man, but interest from Newcastle and Chelsea could sway the winger’s decision.
