Willy Caballero has attracted interest from Chelsea in recent times off the back of his release from Manchester City, and his agent has hinted that Newcastle are one of the three Premier League clubs keen to land his client this summer.
Caballero’s agent Adrian Faija revealed to Goal how he and his client were approaching their summer business and made reference to how Newcastle have expressed an interest.
The experienced Argentinian goalkeeper’s fate was all but sealed with City signing Ederson in a blockbuster deal from Benfica just weeks ago, meaning that he was no longer required at the Etihad Stadium.

However, this isn’t set to stop him in his hopes of remaining in England and competing in the top flight, and Faija has hinted at newly-promoted duo Newcastle and Brighton holding an interest.
We have some offers from England, he wants to stay in England. Newcastle is cold but pretty and the beaches in Brighton are beautiful as well and easily accessible from London.
While Chelsea is undoubtedly an attractive proposition, he’s unlikely to find regular game time behind Thibaut Courtois, so a move to Newcastle could certainly be a possibility for Caballero.
