# Newcastle ready to swoop for young French winger

Newcastle have been linked with a number of Ligue 1 players this summer, and the latest man to be touted with a move to St James’ Park is Saint-Etienne’s promising Jonathan Bamba.

According to reports in France, as covered by GFFN, the young winger has attracted the interest of many clubs and Newcastle are among those keen to land him this summer.

Bamba enjoyed a successful Toulon tournament with France’s Under-20 side on a personal level and this has only raised the interest in him.

Newcastle are not alone in their aim to sign Bamba this summer though, with Serie A outfit Atalanta also stated to be holding an interest in bringing him in.

Saint-Etienne recently appointed Oscar Garcia as their new manager, and this could very well prove to be decisive in any deal to sell Bamba, with the Spaniard likely to be keen on holding on to such a bright talent.
