Fenerbahce’s new manager Aykut Kocaman wants Newcastle United’s Aleksandar Mitrovic on loan for next season, according to The Chronicle’s Newcastle United reporter Chris Waugh.

The incoming manager does not seem to be pleased with the situation of Robin Van Persie at the club and has put Mitrovic at the top of his transfer wish-list.
Mitrovic moved to Newcastle in 2015 from Anderlecht but has not fulfilled the high expectations which were on him at St James’ Park.

The striker is admired by Kocaman, who is keen to work with the Serbian. It is reported that Fenerbahce will contact Newcastle United soon and will discuss a possible season-long loan for the 22-year-old forward.
Mitrovic scored only four goals in the Championship for Rafa Benitez’ side and the Spanish manager has been linked with various forwards already this summer as he looks to add firepower to his front line before they start their Premier League campaign.
While he is a real fan-favourite on Tyneside, Mitrovic has failed to establish himself as a consistent performer for Newcastle and offers will likely be considered.
