# Newcastle tracking Metz winger

Newcastle United are reportedly preparing a move to sign Metz winger Ismaila Sarr, according to a report from France Football.

Sarr had a superb 2016/17 campaign for Metz and to see him linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 club should come as no real surprise.

Newcastle have already secured the permanent signing of Christian Atsu after he impressed for the club in the Championship last season, but it looks as though they may be keen to bolster their wide options even further.

Sarr, aged just 19, showed glimpses of really quality in his breakthrough campaign and managed to net five times from out wide from 33 appearances, 20 of which were starts.

His fearless nature on the ball and ability to beat a man has earned him plenty of plaudits this season and he is sure to be a wanted man this summer.
