Phew.
At one point, Newcastle looked like they were going to allow an automatic promotion place slip through their finds and into the grateful arms of Huddersfield, Reading or anyone else in the chasing pack.
Thankfully, Rafa Benitez and his men rallied towards the end of the season to secure not only promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking but managed to prise the Championship away from a faltering Brighton side on the final day. Job done.
