With promotion already secured, Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez has already begun planning for next season and has got his eye on a number of potential transfer targets.
According to reports, one player he’d like to bring to the club is Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
The 19-year-old has been a revelation for Bristol City in the Championship this year, scoring 23 goals for the Robins in just 40 games.
There has been some talk that Chelsea might keep him at the club next season as they’ll have the demands of Champions League football to cope with, but it looks like the Blues are now looking to loan him out to a Premier League team in the hope of getting him regular first-team football at a higher level.
Benitez is said to be interested in taking the teenager on loan for the season as he looks to improve his forward options ahead of what promises to be a challenging campaign.
