He is Newcastle’s 10th signing in what is turning out to be a very productive summer transfer window.
Yedlin, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland, has been at Spurs since January 2015; however, he has found it difficult to break into the starting XI and, as a result, he has only made one Premier League appearance for the senior side during his time at White Hart Lane.
He did, however, make a handful of appearances for Spurs in their pre-season friendlies.
Yedlin, who can also play as a right-sided midfielder, was also linked with a move to Aston Villa and Sunderland, but he has decided that a move to Tyneside would be the best option for him.
With the departure of Daryl Janmaat to Watford, there is a good possibility that Yedlin will get decent playing time at St. James’ park.
He will face stiff competition from Jesus Gamez, though.
