Central defender Fabricio Coloccini has been released by Newcastle following eight years on Tyneside.
The two parties had a mutual agreement on the Argentine’s exit, and Coloccini is set to return home to Argentina.

Starting his career at Boca Juniors, the potential was spotted quickly by the scouting team at AC Milan, and Coloccini joined in 1999 at the age of 17.
The centre-half had been a regular in the Deportivo la Coruña team, until a £10 million fee saw his services brought to the North East of England.
Becoming club captain in 2011, Coloccini established himself as one of the most reliable defenders in the league, in addition to being a convincing and confident leader.

The 34-year-old made 248 appearances in the black and white strip.
San Lorenzo is rumoured to be the next destination for Coloccini; a club where he spent time at in 2000, whilst out on loan from AC Milan.
