Newcastle have been given the opportunity to sign Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie according to the Chronicle.
As Premier league clubs circle around Andros Townsend as his escape clause is now common knowledge, clubs are now offering Newcastle their players knowing the magpies would need a replacement.

So far no club has been able to match the fee that would trigger the escape clause. Townsend has previously stated he would like to stay on Tyneside and has recently moved to the north-east, should one of the interested parties trigger the release clause he could always turn down the move.
Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie has previous experience of the Championship and is the type of player that loves a battle which Rafa and the Geordie faithful love to see, he could be Townsend’s replacement or could be used as a back-up.
Would you like to see Ritchie join the club? Do you think Townsend will be a Newcastle player come August?
