Crystal Palace are interested in signing Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul, according to a report in the Croydon Advertiser, an outlet with close ties to the Eagles.
The Dutch international missed most of last season with an ACL injury which picked up playing for his national side. The Newcastle No.1 was hurt in October and was a huge miss for the Magpies as they were relegated to the Championship.
Wayne Hennessey, the current number one, is being linked with a move away from Selhurst Park this summer and it looks like Alan Pardew might be lining up a move to replace him with Krul.

Pardew worked with the 28-year-old at Newcastle and is apparently a huge admirer of him. Krul only has one year remaining on his contract at the North East side so they could well sell him in the summer to avoid losing him for free.
Although he’s currently out injured, Rob Elliot is certainly good enough to play regularly in the Championship, although it’s not clear when he’ll be back in action.
Krul is said to be happy with life in Newcastle but he has ambitions at international level and playing in the top-flight gives him a better chance of keeping the Dutch goalkeeping role.
